Located in the artery most visited in Tijuana, Hotel Nelson was the first to have an elevator not only in the region but throughout northwestern Mexico, it also was one of the first hotels to feature phone in every room since 1955, and external emergency stairs for safety of its customers.

During the period of Governor Braulio Maldonado (1953-1959) he used the hotel to give press conferences. It was also the place of choice for popular artists such as Enrique Guzman, Marco Antonio Muñiz, Capulina, Javier Solis, the best Cuban boxer Jose Napoles. And internationally it also had Marilyn Monroe.

The most valuable of Hotel Nelson is the pleasure that had served thousands of people that have visited Tijuana since 1949 until today , and it has remained the preferred hotel of new generations of tourists who visit our city.
